We are excited to announce that the AHA is sponsoring the first annual reception for history bloggers and Twitterstorians at the annual meeting (which is just a few weeks away). We hope this will be an opportunity for us to connect human faces with avatars, and allow registrants who don’t have a lot of experience in the digital world an opportunity to talk, network, and learn from our more experienced members. If you ever blogged or posted a history related tweet, or even if you’re just curious what it’s all about please join us. The reception will be held on Thursday, January 2 from 5:30–7:00 p.m. at the Omni Shoreham Governor’s Room. The bloggers/Twitterstorians reception coincides with the reception for graduate students, from 5–6:30pm. Both receptions are held at the Omni Shoreham hotel, and registrants can float between receptions relatively easy. We hope to see you there!
