Partisan Piece

Theodore P. Kovaleff | Nov 1, 2003

To the Editor:

I was shocked and dismayed to read the diatribe by the AHA president entitled, "Revisionist Historians." Such a partisan piece is out of place for a publication that is supposed to be an organ of historians who are allegedly trained to consider all sides of an issue. Were there to have been an "op-ed," perhaps there might have been a rationale for the piece as it would have stimulated debate. Absent that, it belonged in a partisan publication, such as a newsletter published by the Democratic National Committee.
