JSTOR Register & Read – Now Live
The Register & Read program allows users who don’t have access to JSTOR to register and gain read-only access to limited archival content. Hence the name, “Register & Read.” In this beta release of Register & Read, 75 journals, including the American Historical Review, will have some content available.
The AHA is pleased to participate in this program (as well as JSTOR’s Early Journal Content access), as we seek new ways to broaden historians’ access to JSTOR and other digital resources.
You can learn more about Register & Read in this article by Jennifer Howard at The Chronicle, or try it out following the steps below:
- Register for a free MyJSTOR account.
- Search for an article. If it’s part of Register & Read, click on the “Get Access” option.
- Add the article to your shelf to read the full-text online. After 14 days, you may remove it and add new items to your shelf.
- Purchase articles. PDF versions of some articles will be available for purchase and download. If you purchase articles from your shelf, the PDF versions may be stored and accessed in your MyJSTOR account at any time.
