At the AHA annual meeting, an organizational meeting was held for those interested in forming an association for the exchange of information and the study of issues involved in the use of computers in classroom teaching.
As a first step, the group agreed to attempt to ascertain current progress in this field across the country and among AHA membership. The outcome of this enquiry will be published in a newsletter the organization proposes to publish beginning in late spring.
The group expects to adopt an organizational charter this year and to apply for affiliation with the AHA as a recognized group soon thereafter.
Members of the AHA (and others) presently engaged in such activities or interested in becoming invoked are encouraged to call or write any of the members of the steering committee chosen at the December meeting. They will not only attempt to respond appropriately but also will circulate word of your concerns to others in touch with the group as well as future members.
