In collaboration with several member organizations of the American Council of Learned Societies, the has sent a letter to the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau decrying Georgia’s proposed “Religious Freedom Restoration Act,” which would establish a vendor’s right to refuse goods or services to individuals based on their religion, sexual orientation, marital status, or whatever other factors might emanate from religious doctrine or practice.
