As all authors know, glitches can and do occur in the technical production of a publication. This has happened to this year’s program, specifically the American Academy of Research Historians of Medieval Spain’s listing on page 14 of the Program. Incorrect days of the week are listed for the AARHMS’s two events, although both dates are correct. The Academy will cosponsor, with the Haskins Society and the Medieval Academy of America, a reception on Saturday, December 28, from 5–7 p.m. in the Hilton’s Conference Room 4M. On Sunday, December 29, the Academy will cosponsor a joint session with the AHA entitled Medieval Spain and the Mediterranean in the Hilton’s Private Dining Room #3. Please see page 73 of the printed Program for complete session details. Following publication of the Program in early October, the AHA headquarters has been informed of the following changes: for the plenary session Alternative Views of the Quincentenary, in addition to papers by Rayna Green, National Museum of American History and Joseph E. Harris, Howard University, Ramón Gutierrez, University of California, San Diego, will present a paper on the Hispanic perspective. In session 8, Ian Christopher Fletcher, Georgia State University, will chair Narrative Authority and Women’s Lives in Late Nineteenth- and Early Twentieth-Century Britain: Middle Class Women’s Representations of Working Class Women. In session 46, On-Line and Off Line: Bibliographical Resources for Historians in the 1990s, Sören Edgren, Research Libraries Group, will speak on finding East Asian sources. Please see page 65 of the Program for complete session details.
The World History Association session on Sunday, December 29, 2:30–4:30 p.m. has a new room assignment. The session will be held in the Congressional Room of the Congress Hotel. Gregory Bush, University of Miami and acting editor of Film and History, will chair. The session will be held in the Hilton’s Private Dining Room #3 on Sunday, December 29 from 5–7 p.m.
Don’t forget the Annual Meeting in Washington in 1992; see earlier issues for the call for papers. The meeting will be held at the Sheraton and Shoreham hotels-this will be the last meeting held on the December 27–30 dates.
We look forward to seeing you in Chicago.
