Seminar on History of Recent and Controversial Events

The Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History are cosoponsoring a seminar for history faculty (in CIC colleges) on the theme, "Interpreting the History of Recent and Controversial Events." The seminar, which will be conducted June 21–23, 2005, at Harvard University, will be led by Ernest R. May, the Charles Warren Professor of American History at Harvard University. Selection for participation in the seminar is based on nomination by chief academic officers of colleges, and not direct application by faculty members. Nomination deadline is April 17, 2005.
