AHA Hosts the Executive Director of the Canadian Historical Association

Vanessa Varin | Sep 24, 2012

The AHA recently had the pleasure of hosting Michel Duquet, Executive Director of the Canadian Historical Association (CHA).   Duquet (pictured center, with AHA Executive Director James Grossman on the left, and AHA Deputy Director Robert Townsend on the right) met with a variety of AHA staff in order to get an overview of the day-to-day operations of the association.  More than what Michel might have learned from us, and beyond what we learned from him, his visit demonstrates how vital our relationships with our international partners have become.  They offer their own unique experiences and perspectives on how to best support and serve their members, and remind us that historians around the world face similar challenges regarding both academic and non-academic employment.

À la prochaine fois, Michel!
