New Editor Sought for the AHR

AHA Staff | Sep 1, 1994

The American Historical Association and the history department at Indiana University in Bloomington are jointly searching for a scholar whose responsibilities will be divided between editing the American Historical Review and teaching and research in the history department at Indiana. The appointment will be with tenure and at full rank, with service as editor of the Review set initially for a five-year term beginning July 1, 1995. Field of specialization is open. While experience in scholarly editing is obviously desirable, it is not essential; indeed, the Search Committee welcomes applications from accomplished scholars interested primarily in the intellectual challenges posed by the Review and willing to explore further the duties and responsibilities of editorial management. A letter of application, letters of recommendation, and a c.v. should be received by December 1, 1994. Please submit to William Rosenberg, Chair, AHR Search Committee, c/o Dept. of History, Indiana University, Ballantine Hall 742, Bloomington, IN 47405. Preliminary telephone enquiries are also welcome at (313) 764-6306. AA/EOE.
