Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:

, Wilkes University, emeritus, has written to helpfully draw attention to an omission in the September 2008 issue:

The convention travel information supplied on pages 18–19 of the September issue of Perspectives on History could have been better.

Specifically I refer to Newark airport where one can take the monorail directly to the New Jersey Transit stop, the train to Penn Station and the same E train recommended from Kennedy airport for about one-third of the cost of the recommended cab ride. It also is a lot more reliable in New York traffic than any bus or shared car ride. I won’t discuss what represents the greenest option.
