In commemoration of National Women’s History Month, the Women’s National History Project has created a poster, “Courageous Voices Echoing in Our Lives.” The poster features eleven women who took positions unpopular in their time, including biologist and environmentalist Rachel Carson, tennis star Billie Jean King, Black civil rights leader Ella Baker, and labor union organizer Emma Tenayuca.

A second poster featuring eight figures in Black women’s history is also available. The red and black poster includes Harriet Tubman, Mary McLeod Bethune, Lorraine Hansberry, and Rosa Parks.

These posters and a plethora of other resources for celebrating women’s history are available through the National Women’s History Project catalog. The catalog features books, videos, display kits, buttons, and other classroom materials for students of all ages.

To receive a copy of the 48-page catalog send $1.00 to the National Women’s History Project, 7738 Bell Rd., Windsor, CA 95492-8515.
