Just like the holidays, the 121st Annual Meeting in Atlanta is fast approaching and so are some deadlines to prepare for it. While the deadline for housing was yesterday, and initial blocks of hotel rooms have sold out, don’t despair. Beginning Tuesday, December 19th, the Atlanta Marriott Marquis will offer 200 rooms at the AHA meeting rates (for more on this see the accommodations page).
Make sure the December 22nd pre-registration deadline is highlighted on your calendar, and join over 3,000 people who have already signed up for attendance at the meeting.
All that holiday spending making travel plans difficult? Prices on travel to Atlanta have been falling rapidly in recent days. Round-trip airfares from many parts of the country are now under $150. To do a quick search of available fares, visit the transportation page for the annual meeting.
If you end up missing all of the deadlines above you can always start preparing now for the 2008 Annual Meeting in Washington, DC. The meeting theme will be “Uneven Developments.” Visit this page online, for more information on this meeting, including a guide on submitting proposals.
