The American Historical Association is seeking a Program Assistant to provide administrative support for the program and executive staff at the Association’s headquarters office on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. This full-time position includes work on the AHA’s grant, prize, and fellowship programs, special projects, committees, and ongoing operational needs. The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree (or if the candidate is currently enrolled as a student, the degree must be conferred no later than June 2014). Proficiency with Microsoft Office is essential. The position is available in March, with flexibility for a start date, including the option of beginning as part-time for an initial few months.
