Women and the Puerto Rican Labor Movement is a World History Commons long teaching module that includes an informational essay, lesson plans, activities, discussion questions, and annotated documents, as well as essay prompts relating to the twelve primary sources. This module steers students towards an understanding of Puerto Rican working women's active role in the labor movement. It also addresses how, as their role in the economy increased in prominence, Puerto Rican working women became targets of gender and racial discrimination.
