Jake Purcell

Meetings and Programming Associate

Jake Purcell is meetings and programming associate at the AHA, contributing to the annual meeting and programming for AHA Online. In the past, he coordinated one of the AHA's Career Diversity member pilot projects that explored how graduate education could better support historians in many kinds of careers. He has a BA and BMusic from Oberlin College & Conservatory and a PhD in medieval history from Columbia University. There, he studied legal, intellectual, and institutional approaches to judgment and evidence in late antiquity and the very early European Middle Ages.
