History Behind the Headlines
A series of webinars featuring prominent historians discussing the histories behind current events and the importance of history and historical thinking to public policy and culture.
AHA Online Teaching Forum
The AHA’s Online Teaching Forum was a series of virtual events designed to help historians plan for teaching in online and hybrid environments. For recordings of past Online Teaching Forum events, please visit the AHA's YouTube channel.
Virtual Career Development
The AHA announces a series of professional development webinars and workshops emphasizing career exploration and skill development for graduate students and early-career historians.
Virtual Seminars for Department Chairs
In 2020, the AHA hosted a series of virtual seminars designed to support department chairs through the transitions and uncertainties brought about from COVID-19. Webinars were small group discussions (capped at 10 participants) and facilitated by an experienced department chair.
National History Center
The National History Center of the American Historical Association provides historical perspectives on current issues and promotes historical thinking in the service of civic engagement. The AHA established the center in 2002 as a separate nonprofit organization that focuses on the relationship between history and public policy.
