The Stanford Humanities Center will award one Digital Humanities Fellowship for the academic year 2008-09 to a junior or senior scholar. The fellowship is directed to humanities scholars whose research methods are uniquely shaped by digital technologies. Projects should be research-oriented rather than archival in focus. Appropriate projects would include those using digital tools as an aid to research, those developing new digital research tools, or those making digital technology a focus of research. A research question should be driving the use of digital humanities tools.

Fellows are awarded stipends of up to $60,000. In addition, a housing and moving allowance of up to $15,000 is offered, dependent upon need. Deadline: October 15, 2007. See the Digital Humanities Fellowship for more information and an application form.
