Sati is a World History Commons long teaching module site which includes an informational essay, lesson plans, activities, discussion questions, annotated sources, and essay prompts relating to twelve primary sources. Either in class or asynchronously, students can explore historical and cultural context of the custom of burning or burying widows with their deceased husbands in places as diverse as central Asia, South and Southeast Asia, and Fiji.
