God Grew Tired of Us is a 2006 documentary that follows the lives of four of the “Lost Boys of Sudan,” young men who were displaced by Sudanese civil war and ultimately relocated to the United States. In addition to dealing with politics, the film delves into the cultural, economic, and social challenges of adjusting to life in the United States. The documentary is free and closed captioned, but subject to brief commercial ads. Suitable for high school and college students. The documentary can be used in conjunction with a related lesson plan
