Civil War on the Western Border: The Missouri–Kansas Conflict 1854-1865 engages research and discussion on the Missouri–Kansas Border War that shook the region from 1854 to 1865. The project provides free access to selected primary source materials (both textual and visual), timelines, maps, original scholarly essays, and encyclopedia entries. Lesson plans are provided for grades 8–12.
