By the People Transcription Campaigns

Library of Congress | May 28, 2021

By the People invites the public to transcribe, review, and tag digitized pages from Library of Congress collections. Volunteer-created transcriptions improve search, readability, and access to handwritten and typed documents for everyone, including people who are not fully sighted. Current transcription campaigns include those pertaining to Theodore Roosevelt, Mary Church Terrell, Clara Barton, the Blackwell Family, Anna E. Dickinson, Walt Whitman, the Civil War, women's suffrage, and Spanish legal documents.
