AHA Today

Doc of the Day

David Darlington | Jul 19, 2007

The National Archives’ web site has an interesting little feature called “Today’s Document.” Each day a scanned image of a historical document is posted on the site, complete with a description and archives citation, as well as a brief paragraph or two on its historical significance. Many of the images can be printed from the site or downloaded to your computer for further use. On the right side of the page are links to other resources, including archives publications (“Read More”), lesson plans and tips for teaching with documents (“Classroom Resources”), and links to related archived materials (“Research Links”).

Bookmark the “Today’s Document” page, or subscribe to it with your RSS reader, to get a new historical document every day.
