One-Stop Shopping for History Web Sites

Oh the joys of the web, so many sources and sites with so much information to be found. Of course the abundance of resources comes with a price: your time. On the road to finding excellent web sources one must wade through many sites that are just a waste of time. Thank goodness for portals like Best of History Web Sites, a place to find thousands of links to quality history web sites. The site was created by Thomas Daccord, a history teacher in Dedham, Massachusetts, and is now maintained by another teacher, Justin Reich.

Each recommended link on the site is annotated, and many are given a rating represented by stars. The site also includes links to lesson plans and activities, games and animations, and research sites. Teachers and students alike can find what they need, and maybe even save a little searching time.
