The John Carter Brown Library provides a number of Long-Term Fellowships, funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and the InterAmericas Fellowship, which supports research on the history of the West Indies and the Caribbean basin. Fellowships span five to ten months (with a stipend of $4,000 per month), and recipients are expected to relocate to Providence, Rhode Island and to be in continuous residence at the John Carter Brown Library for the entire term of the award. See the John Carter Brown Library’s fellowship page for more information, and also see the fellowship application page.
