The Center will convene a symposium at Lamar University on Mar 31 and Apr 1, 2025, to consider the foodways of the greater Gulf & publish this work in a themed issue of The Texas Gulf Historical and Biographical Record. All topics on food cultures of the Gulf welcomed. Carrie Helms Tippen of Chatham University will serve as chair. Submit a 300-word proposal & a brief c.v. (2 pp) by Nov 1, 2024.
