Event Details

End: May 27, 2019
More Info: https://www.borail.org

This Memorial Day the B&O Railroad Museum celebrates the new temporary exhibit, First to Fight, a World War I exhibit highlighting the contributions of railroaders at home and abroad. The first American units deployed in France were army railroad regiments, a story that is told through the detailed scale model of the 1917 Battle of Cambrai. From May 25 - July 14, Bastille Day, the B&O partners with Operation Gratitude to collect socks for soldiers. These socks and a few other requested items will be collected and placed in the Maryland Merci Car, on exhibit in the center of the B&O's Roundhouse. Help us help the cause! On Memorial Day, Monday May 27 all active and inactive military personnel receive FREE ADMISSION to the B&O! For all the details planned for this special weekend please visit www.borail.org.
