The Rothermere American Institute at the University of Oxford is currently accepting applications for Visiting Fellowships for the 2017-18 academic year. 

RAI Visiting Fellows pursue their research on diverse aspects of American history, politics and culture in the Vere Harmsworth Library’s outstanding collections of American materials and elsewhere in Oxford, write books and articles, and engage in the Institute’s lively community of scholarship.

The Senior Visiting Research Fellowship (SVRF) provides an opportunity for a mid- to late-career academic while our range of Visiting Research Fellowships (VRFs) are designed for for early to mid-career academics.

Fellowships are tenable for one to two terms, or for a full academic year.
