We are pleased to announce the third International Seminar in Refugee Historical Studies, which will be held in Duisburg, July 4-7, 2023. The purpose of this seminar is to promote the historical study of refugees. The seminar brings together 14 advanced PhD students and early postdocs from different parts of the world whose individual research projects examine refugees in different times and places.  We invite applications from historians and researchers in related fields who have recently received their PhDs or are in the final stages of their dissertations. Participants will pre-circulate papers five weeks before the seminar. The organizers will cover basic expenses for travel and accommodation.  Please submit a brief CV (max. 2 pages) and a proposal of no more than 750 words in English in one PDF by Novemebr 21, 2022.
