Hear George Washington University’s Trachtenberg School of Public Policy professor Leah Brooks discuss the economic impact of the 1968 riots on retail properties in Washington, D.C. The city sustained substantial damage along the 14th St. NW, 7th St. NW, and H St. NE commercial corridors—now some of the most active retail areas in the city.
