George Washington Teacher Institute Application Deadline

The George Washington Teacher Institute is proud to announce six summer residential programs. The programs will feature unparalleled access to content scholars, the Mount Vernon estate, and sources, both primary and secondary.

We’ll host six programs on the historic estate this summer, and this fall we’ll also host an additional Leadership and Legacy week, Nov. 8 - 11, 2018.

Each week features a lead scholar that drives the content and works closely with each participant.

All current K-12 teachers are invited to apply. Full scholarships, with travel stipends, are available to all K-12 teachers that currently teach U.S. students.

State-specific full scholarships, including travel stipends, are available for applicants in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Please note: You must be teaching in the scholarship state for the 2018-19 school year to be eligible.

The deadline to apply is January 29, 2018.
