The NJ History & Historic Preservation Conference attracts a broad audience of professionals, architects, planners, historic site and museum managers, historic preservation commission members, and more.

In 2016, as part of the Conference’s “Advocacy” theme, we welcome keynote speaker Laurel O’Sullivan, Principal & Founder of The Advocacy collaborative. Her keynote will focus on “Demystifying Advocacy,” and she will lead an additional session on incorporating advocacy into your organization’s mission.

Highlights of educational sessions and field workshops include: planning for heritage tourism, sustainable historic preservation practices, managing volunteers at heritage sites and museums, and preservation planning for historic parks and urban neighborhoods.

The Conference will kick-off on June 8 with the Opening Reception at Edison National Historical Park to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service.

The main conference sessions on June 9 will take place at Seton Hall University in South Orange.
