Event Description
The Missouri State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) will be conducting a virtual panel discussion on Wednesday January 22, at 2EST on career paths in historic preservation and cultural resource management. It will be of interest for grad students considering alt-ac careers in history, architectural history, or archaeology.
Panelists include:
– Michelle Diedrich, National Register Reviewer, National Park Service
– Andrew Weil, Director, St. Louis Landmarks Association
– Elizabeth Hornbeck, Historic Tax Credit Reviewer, Missouri SHPO
– Andrew Dial, Grants Manager, Missouri SHPO
The panelists will be an overview of historic preservation/cultural resource management after which each panelist will talk about their career path followed by a Q&A.
