Event Description

This webinar will offer participants an introduction to VOW’s oral history methodology, as well as the use of oral history to document and amplify the experiences of communities impacted by and fighting against injustice.

We will explore the power of personal narrative as a format and discuss key elements of the oral history process, including best practices in ethical interviewing and project creation. The webinar will feature VOW staff and Ricia Chansky, professor and editor of the book Mi María: Surviving the Storm, Voices from Puerto Rico.
