Matteo Salvadore (Temple Univ.) has also withdrawn as a paper presenter for this session, scheduled on Friday, January 6, 2:30–4:30 p.m. in the Loew's Commonwealth Hall Section A-1 (p. 119).
• Karen Oslund (German Historical Institute, Wash. DC) will comment on Session 72, "Writing Outside the West: Language Study and Nation in China and Eastern Europe." The session is scheduled on Friday, January 6, 2:30–4:30 p.m. in the Loew's Congress Room B (p. 120).
• The correct title of Session 78 should be "The Scholars' Initiative, Part 1: History as a Destructive Force in Multiethnic Societies" (p. 122).
• The correct title of Session 98 should be "The Scholars' Initiative, Part 2: Design, Implementation, and Impact" (p. 142).
• The name and affiliation for Ann Twinam, Univ. of Texas at Austin, was wrongly listed for Session 113, "Women's and Gender History in Global Perspective" (p. 157).
• Session 132, "The Use of Universals in the Creation of Modern American Conservatism," should have been identified as a precirculated paper session. The session is scheduled for Saturday, January 7, 2:30–4:30 p.m. in the Marriott's Grand Ballroom Salon K.
• Mary Schleppegrell's new affiliation is Univ. of Michigan. Prof. Schleppegrell is a panelist on Session 133, "Building Academic Literacy through History" on Saturday, January 7, 2:30–4:30 p.m. (p. 165).
• Nebojsa Vladisavljevic's affiliation is Univ. of London. Matjaz Klemencic's affiliation is Univ. of Ljubljana, Univ. of Maribor. Both are panelists on Session 136, "The Scholars' Initiative Team Reports, Part 3: Confronting the Yugoslav Controversies" on Sunday, January 7, 2:30–4:30 p.m. (p.167). Valentina Duka (Univ. of Tirana) has withdrawn from Session 136.
• Peter Hoffenberg (Univ. of Hawai'i at Manoa) has withdrawn as chair and panelist on Session 141, "Nations on Display? Exhibitions, World's Fairs, and the National Question, 1851-1858—Roundtable."
