Ground Transportation to Meeting Hotels From DEN

By Light Rail

RTD University of Colorado A Line (from Airport to Union Station) Denver International Airport (DEN) now has a direct rail connection from the airport to Union Station in downtown Denver. From there, it is only a short ride on a free bus to the AHA meeting hotels.

To get to Denver Airport Station, follow signs to the Transit Center and proceed to the south end of the main terminal on Level 5 (located under the large American flag). Exit the terminal through the sliding glass doors and take the escalator located in the center of the plaza down to Level 1. The airport station is located at the base of the airport’s hotel and transit center, directly underneath the new Westin Denver International Airport hotel and conference center.

Tickets for the A Line may be purchased at the ticket vending machines located on the train platform using cash or credit cards.

Distance: 23 miles of track from DEN to downtown’s Denver Union Station
Travel time: 37 minutes from DEN to Denver Union Station
Frequency: Trains run every 15 minutes during peak travel times, and every 30 minutes from 3-5 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Fare: The airport fare is $9 per day from any of the stations along the A Line and includes unlimited rides on the A Line as well as the entire RTD Light Rail system during a single business day.

Trains have level boarding at all doors of the train and have two wheelchair spaces per car.

By Bus

All RTD buses will now pick up and drop off passengers on level 1 of the transit center – connecting routes include the AA, AB, AT, 145X, and 169L routes.

By Ride Share

Ride-sharing services, such as Uber and Lyft, will be able to pick up passengers at the Westin Denver International Airport porte cochère, located on the west side of level 1.

By Van Service

By Rental Car

Denver International Airport has more than 10 major rental car companies serving Colorado travelers. Car rental agencies are located on airport property and provide courtesy shuttle service to and from Jeppesen Terminal. Shuttles pick-up and drop-off from Jeppesen Terminal Level 5, Island 4, outside doors 505-513 (east side) and 504-512 (west side).

NOTE: When driving to or from the airport on the E-470 toll highway, a photo will be taken of your license plate and sent to the place of vehicle registration for toll collection. Transportation from Union Station to Meeting Hotels

Exit Union Station on Wynkoop Street and go right 1 block to the 16th Street Mall. Cross the street to catch the free MallRide shuttle bus along 16th Street on the corner of 16th and Wynkoop going southeast. The shuttle picks up every few minutes.

Hyatt Regency Denver

Get off at Welton Street and walk toward 15th Street. The entrance of the Hyatt Regency Denver is located on 15th Street between Welton and California Street.

Sheraton Denver Downtown

Get off at the Court Place stop, which is next to the hotel’s main entrance.

Grand Hyatt Denver

Get off at Welton Street and head east (left) about 1.5 blocks.

Denver Marriott City Center

Get off at California Street and go 1.5 blocks on California to the hotel, which is on the left.


Commuting by Car

The Colorado Convention Center is located in downtown Denver at 700 14th Street. The closest major intersection is Colfax Avenue and Speer Boulevard. There are several entrances into the facility, but the most common entrances are located off of 14th Street between Stout and California Street.

The Colorado Convention Center provides access to a 1,000 space onsite covered parking garage. The garage provides access to the Colorado Convention Center and the Denver Performing Arts Complex (DPAC).

The garage is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ALL visitors and guests attending ANY event or business in the downtown area. If you are coming to a scheduled event in our facility, DPAC or any venue downtown, please arrive early and remember to use our quick and easy automated pay stations. Our current parking rates are as follows:

Getting around Denver

MallRide (Free Downtown Circulator)

This free hybrid vehicle scoots up and down the 16-block tree-lined retail core of downtown Denver, also home to hotels, restaurants, office buildings, residences, and public spaces. Hop on at any intersection on 16th St. between Civic Center Station at Broadway near the Colorado State Capitol (200 E. Colfax Ave.) and Union Station on the west end. A few short walks from the mall get you to the Denver Performing Arts Complex (950 13th St.), Colorado Convention Center (700 14th St.), Larimer Square (Larimer St. between 14th and 15th Sts.), Coors Field (2001 Blake St.), and LoDo (lower downtown).

Denver B-cycle

Denver B-cycle is an automated bike sharing system designed for use by many people for short trips around Denver. You can check out one of 700 bikes from any one of our 82 stations and return it to any other station.
