Forty-five affiliated societies have informed the AHA headquarters office about sessions and meetings they have arranged to be held during the forthcoming 117th annual meeting of the AHA. Details about these can be obtained online from http://www.historians.org/annual/2003/Affil_Home.htm.

Members of affiliated societies are requested to note that everyone (including those chiefly attending sessions sponsored by the affiliated societies) attending the annual meeting must register with the AHA. An official AHA annual meeting badge will be required to enter the book exhibit and the job register. You may register on-line at http://www.historians.org/annual.

Please note also that audiovisual requirements for affiliated society sessions and events not jointly sponsored with the AHA should be arranged with the executive director of the affiliated society to the meeting. The AHA staff will not be able to order equipment at the meeting!

Representatives of affiliated societies are invited to attend the annual meeting of affiliates and the AHA Committee on Affiliated Societies on Friday, January 3, 4:45–6:15 p.m. in the Hilton's Private Dining Room 1 on the third floor. James McPherson (Princeton Univ.), president-elect of the AHA and chair of the committee, will chair. Want to learn more about the affiliated societies? An area in the Chicago Hilton's Southeast Exhibit Hall has been reserved from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, January 3, for affiliated societies to display materials and to meet with members of the profession.
