The first deadline for proposals for panels for the 1997 AHA annual meeting, which will be in New York City, is October 27, 1995. The theme for the meeting will be "Human Rights"; panels need not fit the theme to be accepted. We encourage panels, or presentations within panels, that discuss the teaching dimension of our work as historians. The September issue of Perspectives will contain details about submitting proposals.
