Oral History Association to Focus on "Voices of Dissent" at 2005 Annual Meeting

AHA Staff | Dec 1, 2004

The Oral History Association invites proposals for presentations at its 2005 annual meeting to be held November 2–6 at Providence, Rhode Island. The meeting's theme is "Voices of Dissent, Voices of Hope." While the OAH Program Committee will, as always, welcome proposals on a variety of themes, the focus will be on oral history work dealing with freedom of expression, freedom from coercion, and freedom of conscience. The proposals (five copies of which are required) must be sent by mail or fax by January 15, 2005. E-mail submissions will not be accepted. Details about the meeting and the submission procedures are available online at www.dickinson.edu/oha. Queries can be directed to the program co-chairs: Pamela Dean (Pamela_Dean@ umit.maine.edu or David Stricklin (dstricklin@lyon.edu).
