Walk through Hagley’s experimental, one-object exhibition, “Unraveling Stories,” and read the 10’x12’ rug as a curator does, from a variety of perspectives. Explore the stories that this large, hand-made hooked rug has to tell about the artistic tradition of hooked rugs, science of experimental materials used in its making, and story of the du Pont family on the Brandywine as illustrated by a member of the family. Gallery guides will be on hand to provide in-depth detail on the exhibition. Guests are invited to try hooking and add to Hagley’s community hooked rug. Included in admission. Use Hagley’s main entrance off Route 141 in Wilmington, Delaware.
