Please join the UNM History Department for our kick off symposium for the AHA-Mellon Career Diversity project on February 26-27, 2015 at the University of New Mexico. The symposium, "What Use is History?", is designed to engage graduate students, faculty, university administrators, city and state leaders, and entrepreneurs in the public, private, and non-profit sectors in a discussion on how to diversify graduate education, better equip PhDs for academic positions, and to increase the presence of historians in fields beyond the academy.
