MD Anderson Cancer Center is pleased to host the Anesthesia History Association for the first time. The conference will feature tours of the Michael E. DeBakey Library & Museum-Baylor College of Medicine and the Methodist Hospital System MITIE Simulation Center, prominent Houston speakers from the medical field, and historical abstracts.
Abstracts
Abstracts should focus on historical aspects of anesthesia, critical care medicine, or pain medicine. Abstracts on medical humanities or ethical topics that relate to the history of one or more of these broad areas are also welcomed. Most abstract authors will have the opportunity for 20 minutes podium presentations, but a limited number of poster displays will be available. Abstracts should be single page on 8.5" x 11" paper. The text, 12-point Arial typeface composed in a Microsoft Word 1997-2003. Abstracts should include background information, aim, resources, methodology, results, conclusions, and references. Accepted abstracts will be distributed to meeting registrants and posted on the AHA website. Presenters will be required to provide one-page curriculum vitae and a signed conflict of interest statement.

Deadline for abstracts and applications: midnight, February 15, 2015.
