Virginia Dale Overland Stage Station Art Show, Wine Tasting, and Chili Challenge

Local artists have chosen this picturesque and historic site for a Western Art Show and Sale. The Stage Station was built in 1862 and is on the National Registry of Historic Places. This event is a benefit for the Virginia Dale Community Club's “Save Our Station” campaign. The Club owns the Station and they are undertaking a full restoration of this Historic Building. Friday, July 25 kicks off the weekend from 12 to 8 PM with the Carol Loyer MemorialWestern Art Show & Sale. Ten Bears winery in LaPorte will provide samples of their wines for a wine tasting from 4 PM to 8 PM. A Silent Auction will take place at the adjacent Hurzeler House at the same time as the Wine Tasting On Saturday, July 26, the Art Show will continue from 10AM to 4 PM. The Club will host a Chili Challenge for Club Members and invited friends. The public is encouraged to be the judges by voting a quarter for their favorite and then the Chili will be available for purchase as a fundraiser for the Restoration of the Stage Station. Salsa will also be available for tsting.
