CONVERSATIONS IN PLACE 2014: The Past in the 21st Century The evolving role of historic sites and museums for modern times kicks off unconventional speakers series at Rancho Los Alamitos with nationally recognized directors and preservationists who will explore how these public spaces are being re-imagined for next-generation audiences in an ever-changing, multi-cultural world. Speakers include Richard West, the President & CEO of the Autry National Center of the American West; Wayne Donaldson, FAIA, and Chairman of the U.S. Advisory Council on Historic Preservation; and Pamela Seager, Executive Director of Rancho Los Alamitos. Rancho Los Alamitos is located at 6400 Bixby Hill Road in Long Beach and the lecture will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 pm.
