Take a rare opportunity to step inside historic homes and sites in the quaint town of Brookeville, nestled in Montgomery County this Spring. The Historic Brookeville House Tour will take place May 3 from 10 am-4 pm and will include a self- guided tour through a dozen homes and other historic buildings, which include the authentically furnished award-winning “Madison House” where President Madison retreated on August 26, 1814 as the British burned the White House during the War of 1812. Tickets are $25.00 per person if received on or postmarked by April 26 and $30.00 after April 26 or the day of the event. There will be free parking at the Salem United Methodist Church (12 high Street) and lunch will be available for purchase at the Brookeville Academy.
