The Call for Nominations for the 2016 Princess of Asturias Awards is now open.

Conferred in eight different categories (the Arts, Literature, Communication and Humanities, Social Sciences, Technical and Scientific Research, International Cooperation, Concord and Sports), they are aimed at rewarding the scientific, technical, cultural, social and humanistic work carried out at an international level by individuals, institutions, or groups of individuals or institutions.

We invite you to present nominations for any of these categories. In the link below you will find the Regulations for the bestowal of our Awards, as well as the online nomination form. In accordance with Article 4 of said Regulations, the nominations “should demonstrate that, among other merits, the nominee is an outstanding role model of unquestionable international standing”.

The deadline for nominations is 10th March 2016, with the exception of the award for Concord, for which the deadline is 14th July.

The Awards are presented by HM King Felipe VI at an annual ceremony held at the end of October in the city of Oviedo, capital of the Principality of Asturias.
