AHA Meeting Child Care Grant
In a pilot program for the 2012 Annual Meeting in Chicago, small grants of up to $200 are available to assist meeting attendees who are bringing small children or who incur extra expenses in leaving them at home (i.e., extra daycare or babysitting services). Expenses must be documented by receipts. The applications period is from September 15 to November 1, 2011; all applicants will be notified by November 15, 2011. Eligibility extends to history graduate students, adjuncts, and early-career historians (within five years of the earned degree), with priority to those appearing on the program and/or interviewing during the meeting. Please note that the AHA will not assume responsibility for child care services.
