Introduction and Commentary:

Calvin Grimes, immediate past Dean, Division of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Professor of Music, Morehouse College

 

Music:

Wendell P. Whalum Community Chorus/Atlanta University Center Chorus
The chorus includes graduates of Atlanta University, the Atlanta University Center undergraduate colleges, and graduates from other institutions in the Atlanta area. The chorus focuses on Negro spirituals, but also includes pieces from African American arrangers and composers, and composers of the European classical tradition.

D'Vine
The Atlanta-based gospel and inspirational singing group, composed of sisters Sheryl McGuire Deas and Paula McGuire Saunders and friend Sheryl Denise Pollard, showcases a mix of traditional and contemporary gospel. www.dvinemusic.com
