Statement of Purpose: FEEGI was founded to bring together
scholars from a variety of disciplines interested in the global
interaction of people and systems following on the European nation's
seaborne movement outward in the late medieval and early modern
periods. The group is interested in comparative work as well as
studies of interaction at sites all over the world. Its goal is
to make colleagues aware of people in other fields whose interests
parallel theirs and to facilitate interaction in these fields.
