Dates and Deadlines
September 1Housing opens.
September 20Job Register forms sent to history departments.
September 30Dues must be paid and address changes registered with the Membership Department in order to receive a copy of the annual meeting Program.
October 1Processing of preregistration begins.
October 10Program mailed to members.
November 15Deadline for reserving tables and suites for the Job Register.
December 6Job Register confirmations sent out.
December 4AHA preregistration closes; after this date, attendees must register on-site.
December 14Housing cutoff date. (But note that for the Omni Shoreham and Days Inn hotels, the cutoff date is December 4.) After this date, reservations taken on a space-available basis; availability of convention rates will vary from hotel to hotel.
December 18Deadline to receive preregistration refund.
January 71999 annual meeting opens at noon at Marriott Wardman Park Hotel and Omni Shoreham Hotel, Washington, D.C.
